About this concert
The world-famous electronic ambient duo Carbon Based Lifeforms is back underground and delivering an exclusive performance in the abandoned iron ore mine eighty meters below the surface, surrounded by millions of tons of rock, hypnotic fire dancing, and a massive laser show. The concert ticket includes admission to the afterparty in the Machine Hall; the mine’s century-old industrial venue above ground.
Never before has the underground scene been so underground.
The afterparty takes place in the Machine Hall, Adventuremine’s very own club venue with a genuine mining history atmosphere. There, Christian Samsara & DJ Paulina will continue the evening with quality electronic music while you get a unique chance to meet the band, invest in CBL merchandise, buy something to eat, or simply have a beer and dance to the music while trying to process what you’ve just experienced. The live act by Robert Elster aka Vibrasphere frames the experience and puts an end to all debate; this is the most epic music event of the year.
Concert + Afterparty – 17:00 – 02:00
(The area is open to visitors from 14:00)
Price: 1795 SEK
You arrive at Adventuremine on your own or with our specially chartered bus (ticket can be purchased as an add-on at checkout), which takes you from Borlänge Central Station all the way to the mine entrance. After being equipped with a helmet (included in the ticket), you let yourself be embraced by the mountain and the atmosphere as you slowly walk down the long staircase into the underground. After an awe-inspiring walk through the mine’s dark tunnels, illuminated lakes, and breathtaking chambers, you finally reach the stage where you're absorbed into a concert setting like no other.
Adventure Walk
Take a more adventurous route to the stage! On your way, you’ll walk through corridors and grand chambers in still darkness, lit only by your headlamp. Sturdy shoes and warm clothes are essential for this unique and thrilling experience where you gradually adapt to the underground environment. A helmet with headlamp is included. A knowledgeable guide leads the way and shares fascinating historical details. As you approach the 80-meter level, you’ll feel the bass and glimpse lights filtering through pillars – the concert begins. After the show, the guide leads you through an abandoned part of the mine to the afterparty, guaranteed to make your knees weak and your thirst strong.

Carbon Based Lifeforms Biography
Carbon Based Lifeforms are Johannes Hedberg & Daniel Segerstad (formed Ringström), both born in -76 and living in Gothenburg Sweden. They met in 91 and started playing around with Trackers on the Amiga in -92. In 94 they switched to PCs and teamed up with Mikael Lindquist and formed a tracker group called Bassment Studios. They released their tracks through various BBSs, the bbs Musical Storehouse being their WHQ (world head quarter) In 95, following Mikaels lead, they left the tracking scene and switched to midi. This led to the forming of Notch, mainly focusing on acid, techno and house music.
CBL was formed in -96 as a side project to Notch. CBL later became the main focus of Johannes and Daniel while Mikael left and did various solo acts. CBL published their songs on mp3.com in -98, and was featured on the promo cd "103 best songs you never heard on mp3.com" which led to some pretty nice downloads and album sales. In -99 they teamed up with Magnus Birgersson (Solar Fields) to write the music for the swedish dancer Olof Persson's performance "Fusion".
