About this concert
A late night bash of local legends (Xing / Oatmeal) and and the musical phenomenon that is Jo Passed (Vancouver, BC).
Xing - previously On Drugs and Lose, is performing his debut show with a full backing band which is expected to cause 6.2 magnitude earthquakes and above.
Oatmeal - thee single looniest and tooniest band this side of the moon is gonna be turnin you insides out, bring your own anvil
Jo Passed - The nicest thing anyone has ever said to Jo Hirabayashi, frontman of Jo Passed, is that his band’s debut album sounds like “fucked-up Beatles”. Titled Their Prime, the LP does sound like fucked-up Beatles. It sounds like, somewhere across an ‘80s universe, Lennon and McCartney discovered Can and Neu!, and maybe a little Sonic Youth and XTC along the way.

xing Biography
To call Rodman a rebounder is to call Cameron a string winder. He took the art of rebounding to such a high level that one (incredible) series of articles by a prominent statistician suggested that Rodman's rebounding made him the most valuable player in league history. Similarly, Cameron's value to every one of his projects is best shown by considering how, in each one of them, it's not "them" without him. Much like Rodman, Cameron brings an otherworldly talent and personality to the proceedings. Eyes seem to drift to him. Those behind the scenes marvel at the talent accumulated, beholding the results of countless hours of practice, theory, classes and pure sonic id -- even in a band full of multi-hyphenates, Cameron's quiver of expertise stands out. To date, he is the only member of Lose to share a bill with himself, and nobody expects it to be the last.
But his skills seem to emanate from a common source: his complete rhythmic control. When any band deigns to jam off-signature, or switch keys, if the rhythm section does not pull it off, all is lost. For Lose's continued progress, the bassist's competence and leadership is not just necessary, but vital. Cameron wields these obvious duties as a child's toy -- not only are the roads solid, but the Rainbow Roads are, too. He can get weird -- he's been there before. Remind you of anyone?
