KLYMAXX the only all–female band to ever chart on the R&Band Funk Billboard Magazine has embarked on their 40th Year Anniversary tour, celebrating their fan favorite,“Meeting In The Ladies Room.” Popular DJs have remixed their hit with Megan Thee Stallion’s “ThotSh*t; and was spotlighted on Saturday Night Live, yielding millions of new fans.
This legacy of Klymaxx remains strong due to the iconic co-founder and lead guitarist, Cheryl Cooley, Musical Director, who kept her ear evolving by developing more dynamic arrangements of their hits. She nurtured the group’s unique sound and overseen the fusion of 80’s funk with today’s modern-day swag.The single “Love Me” has already been slated as the 2024 Summertime anthem which speaks to anti-bullying, women empowerment and sisterhood. Their newest hit “Love Bandit & I Betcha [Live] instates Funk and LiveArrangements, that will force you up to dance too.
The show will also feature DJ Chuck Chillout who gets the party started upon arrival, then DJ Kase opens the show and special guest Charis Reese from DMV performs on Sunday, May 18th.
