Graham St. Clair Band Biography
The West Texas Wind is a band based out of Waco, Texas. The band leader and main songwriter, Graham St.Clair grew up in Lubbock, Texas, and his songwriting is heavily influenced by the West Texas culture that he was raised in. The band has drawn influence from artists and bands such as Jason Isbell, Flatland Cavalry, Turnpike Troubadours, and Thieving Birds. They chose to exclusively hire musicians from Lubbock to perform on the album, including Kurt Baumer on the fiddle, Wally Moyers on the pedal steel guitar and dobro, LaTronda Moyers on backup vocals, and Carry Banks on the piano.
The band has been lucky enough to Open for Artists such as Shane Smith and The Saints, Josh Abbott Band and Slade Coulter as well as play legendary venues such as the Buddy Holly Hall, Cooks Garage and Cheatham St Warehouse
Members of the West Texas Wind include Jackson Wright, lead electric/acoustic guitarist; Sean Douglas, rhythm electric guitarist; Raymond Spell; bass guitarist; and Jackson Cossey, percussionist.
