Steve Young & The Real Time Players Biography
'Steve Young + The Real Time Players' are a four (occasionally 5) piece Rock/Blues outfit that is best described as a band with head nodding grooves, filthy guitar riffs, hooky choruses, face melting guitar solos and a lot of good banter with the audience.
Steve's 4th album 'Famous For A Day' is a welcome return to the style of music that inspired him as a teenager but with a great sense of the musical journey he’s been on for the last 30+ years. ‘Famous For A Day’ was released March 6th on CD & Vinyl and on all digital platforms on April 4th. The band are planning some exciting shows for 2025 and have already been booked for fantastic UK Festivals
Planet Rock's - Elles Bailey said "Brilliant album, right up my street'
Maverick Magazine awarded 9/10 stating it as "a resounding success"
Blues Matters Magazine highlighted Steve's "Excellent guitar playing & clever lyrics"
The album title refers to April 26th 2024 when, for one whole day, Steve was literally on the front page of every newspaper and lead story on most TV channels around the world for being the first to receive a revolutionary new cancer vaccine. Latest Singles 'Come Around' & 'Killer Eyes' have been played on 100's of global radio stations including BBC Introducing and Planet Rock
2024 Highlights have included The Isle Of Wight Festival, Goatfest, Black Deer Festival, Old Town Live (Stevenage & Ware), Musical Mystery Tour Hertford, Corn Exchange Hertford, The Horn St Albans, The Fiddlers Elbow, The Bigg Theatre and many more pubs & clubs
