the Finnish duo is doing what Elias Lönnrot did over hundred years ago - he collected stories of the people and created the Finnish national epic, Kalevala, (1835). Kalevauva.fi on the other hand, is a contemporary troubadour band formed by Aapo Niininen and Kimmo Numminen and they create folklore in the form of a song. The stories have been collected straight from the chat forums and other social media. ⁣⁣

Kalevauva.fi is collecting entertaining phenomenons of the modern times. Countless annoying sayings of Finnish language, never-ending worn out hashtags and some of the weirdest - but still dead serious - conversations of the chat rooms. One of those topics being "When did you become mustard buddies?". Meaning that spicy mustard is not the sexiest foods out there, so it's not something you want to squirt onto your dinner on a first date, right? RIGHT?!?
