The Gravel-Aires Biography

The Gravel-Aires play original Roots, North-Americana, Country and Blues music. Based in Vancouver, the group performs in Vancouver area pubs, clubs and cafes. Formed in 2016 by Mark Branscombe, singer/songwriter guitarist and harmonica player and Michael Mahoney, guitarist/singer/dobro & mandolin player.
The Gravel-Aires released their third album, "Westerly" in 2024
Their first album of original music “National Avenue” released in 2018. Their second
album “Headlights in the Rear View Mirror” released in 2021 with a video produced for the single “Three Quarter Time” https://youtu.be/y1ZLkCkOONk
The album was reviewed in The Vancouver Sun by Stuart Derdeyn March 1 2021 –" The seven songs range from the swinging opener Startin’ to Get It to the country twang of Three Quarter Time. The differing vocal styles of the two writers have kind of a Blue Rodeo feel."
