Kailua Moon was formed in 2016 by Hawaii-born slack key guitarist Danny Carvalho and Nani Edgar (now Nani Carvalho), a kumu hula and singer-songwriter from Ventura, California. Since it's inception, Kailua Moon has evolved into a full band that fuses contemporary Hawaiian classics with country, Americana and rock and roll. They toured across the United States sharing Hawaiian music and culture until the global pandemic of 2020, when they created an in-studio livestream for their fans on social media. Now married, Danny and Nani currently perform daily at the top venues on Oahu, and have released their second full-length album You Are My Flower.
