NUMAN

tldr; we are a three-piece math-rock, post-rock act from Thailand.

NUMAN started as a bedroom solo project of Numan Naveed, former guitarist of The Rocket Whale and promoter of Thailand’s Math Rock Appreciation initiative. Borrowing influences from mid-west emo and UK math rock, the sound captures a gleeful or at times, sombre tone of instrumental music.

Both guitarist (Numan) and drummer (Off) as past teammates and the bassist (Job) from Hope the flowers /withyouathome, the trio has cultivated a post/math-rock unique sound combination that share similar affinities for complex instrumental no-fringes rock. Their follow-up album 'Continuous' was received well with a fresh change of instrumentation with pop-math and ambient.

Now under Newlight Productions record label, the band's third record 'Form and Foundation' takes back to their instrumental collaborative roots with several nods to shoegaze and emo!
