Zachary Aldana

Zachary Aldana presents a classical program with organist Heidi Kohne. The evening will feature compositions by Maurice Duruflé, Robert Schumann, Petr Eben, Francis Poulenc, Jean Langlais, Benjamin Britten, Claude Debussy, César Franck, and Leonard Bernstein. Admission to this concert will be free. "A Journey Towards Revival" dives into a complex web of interwoven themes that emerge from a desire for power, the appeal of self-indulgence, and the pursuit of superficial happiness, all of which play into the hands of cynicism and disorder. Throughout the performance, the narrator encounters both dramatic and quiet moments of antagonism in a circus-like dystopian atmosphere, culminating in regrettable inner turmoil. Our narrator returns to a sense of grounding through periods of humility and introspection, a spirit of gratitude and remorse, focusing on the blessings of life, seeking to stay present in the current moment, and accepting simplicity.
