Briar Circle Biography
Boston-based and born out of friendship. In 2018 singer-songwriter Lauren Ginsburg teamed up with childhood friends (Kevin Garvin and Sean LaForce - from the metal/hardcore band On Broken Wings). Their unique style follows after piano-driven artists like Fiona Apple and Regina Spektor, and indie bands like The Strokes, Paramore, and Japanese Breakfast. Together they’ve created a Retro/Rock sound, occasionally blending with the Indie Folk and Pop genres. Introspective lyrics provide an atmosphere of yearning at times while catchy instrumentation and rhythmic percussion offer an upbeat vibe.
