Alison Clancy Biography
Alison Clancy is interdisciplinary artist creating beauty and facilitating catharsis.
She hails from the mountains of Northern California and moved to New York City with dreams of dancing and creative collaboration. Natural gifts soon landed her a place as a dancer at The Metropolitan Opera. Alongside her dance career Alison composes strikingly original music and directs theatrical immersive performances preseneted by galleries, clubs, theaters and universities. To quote the artist: “…most days start with ballet and end with electric guitar.” Her post-punk-mystic sound and has carved out a distinct place in NYC's music scene.
Her most recent recordings and performances feel like a kind of breakthrough, revealing an intimacy, urgency, and lyrical depth arising from the circumstances of our time. “I am here just becoming some strange kind of love.”
