Roxy and the Underground Soul Sound are an award-winning, six-piece soul-funk powerhouse hailing from Halifax, Nova Scotia. Led by the dynamic and soulful vocals of Roxy Mercier, the band features Andrew Jackson (trombone), James Shaw (saxophones), Pat Healy (guitar), Luke Arsenault (bass), and Brendan Melchin (drums).
Since 2013, they’ve electrified audiences across Canada with their high-energy performances, blending tight horn arrangements, deep grooves, and Roxy’s unmistakable voice. Their infectious sound has earned them spots at major festivals, including the Halifax Jazz Festival, Harvest Music Festival (NB), Stan Rogers Festival, and Cloggeroo (PEI).
