About this concert
The Afro groove queen Manou Gallo performs music from her fifth album Aliso.
She celebrates the African artists who inspired her, such as Féla Kuti, Manu Dibango, Franco, Ernesto Djé Djé and Marcellin Yacé.
Manou arrived in Europe in 1997 as she became the bassist of Zap Mama. She has performed on the biggest European and American stages. Since 2003, she has been leading her own bands and participating in numerous other projects (Manou Gallo Women Band, Groove Orchestra, Acoustic Africa and Music Machine).
With her stage presence and incredible technique of slapping bass, she has become one of the leading women in this innovative Afro-European music that is appreciated worldwide.

Manou Gallo Biography
Bassist and percussion from Ivory Coast who came to Europe originally to play with Zap Mama. Her solo career was launched with the album "Dida". She has also been the subject of a musical documentary, "Femme de rythme" (2007).
