Mara Love

Mara Love is a soulful songbird from Chicago and the eldest of ten in a deeply musical family. A trained vocalist, pianist, and songwriter, Mara draws inspiration from legends like Tracy Chapman, Ella Fitzgerald, Celine Dion, Whitney Houston and more. She fuses captivating storytelling with a rich, indie-jazz sound, moving audiences through her poetic delivery. Mara lives by the mantra: “Whether it be a small few or a ton, as long as I make an impact on one, my job is done.” She was a contestant on The X Factor USA and has provided supporting vocals for icons such as Barbra Streisand, Heart, and others. She’s opened for artists like Iniko and performed on WGN, at the Taste of Chicago, the Chicago Jazz Festival and many other places/spaces throughout the US. Mara is also a proud member of Next Showcase USA and a frequent performer with Sofar Sounds.
