Urakka Biography
Urakka, formed in early 2024, is a 5-piece progressive/ cosmic metal band based in Rochester, NY. that features a lineup of grizzled veterans of the Rochester music scene dating back to the late 1980's, with former members of classic era Rochester underground bands (Noxious, MungBeanDemon, Big Hair, Gaylord, Spank, Sonic Primate).
Their sound is a unique, stylistic mix of riffs, grooves and textures reflective of the diverse influences and personalities of the players, covering a spectrum from chest crushing wall of sound riffs to spacey, synapse defiling psychedelia. All underpinned by precise, aggressive and relentless drum lines.
