URSULA 1000 is the alter ego of Brooklyn, New York based producer/DJ/multi-instrumentalist Alex Gimeno. His 8 albums and mix sessions have taken you on a time machine ride of retro tinged genre-hopping exotic grooves and futuristic electronic disco funk magic.

He’s toured the world and performed in over 30 countries with artists like Snoop Dogg and Beastie Boys. He’s collaborated with the likes of Fred Schneider of The B52s, Lady Bunny, Puddles Pity Party and had his music used in Sex and The City, Grey’s Anatomy and for ads for Verizon, Adidas, Grand Marnier and even the Olympics! Ursula has a weekly radio show Radio Kaboom on Barcelona City Radio and Retro Futuro for East Village Radio. Ursula has also scored original music for the award winning documentaries NY77:The Coolest Year In Hell, Minor Accident Of War and To Myself, With Love:The Bessie Stringfield Story.
