Vintersea is a young, exciting new band, and they’ve only improved since the last time I saw them. Their stage presence and musicianship were inspiring, and everyone present was having a REALLY good time. Everyone should keep their eyes on this up-and-coming progressive and melodic death metal act!
Both opening bands—Cyborg Octopus and Nott—played very well and contributed to an overall amazing show. This was also my first time at Madame Lou’s, and I was impressed with the lighting, layout, and cleanliness of the venue. I would definitely go back there for more shows, and I’d be lucky if they were as good as this one!

VINTERSEA is an extreme melodic metal band from Oregon's Willamette Valley. Masterfully fusing the essential elements of metal's most revered sub-genres with anthemic songwriting, VINTERSEA has forged a distinctive brand of intense, blackened progressive metal that echoes the darkened skies of the Pacific Northwest.
Since bursting onto the scene in 2017, VINTERSEA has electrified audiences while opening for acclaimed international acts including JINJER, MOONSPELL, NE OBLIVISCARIS, FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE, and THE OCEAN COLLECTIVE. These energetic performances caught the attention of M-Theory Audio, leading to a worldwide record deal in late 2019. The band then unleashed their sophomore album, "Illuminated", followed by their hard-hitting 2023 release, "Woven Into Ashes".
