John Mutchler Biography
Born and raised in the vibrant and culturally rich surroundings of Washington, D.C., John Mutchler has always had music in his veins. For over fifteen years, he has called Texas his home, immersing himself in the state's storied musical heritage.
John's musical journey began at the tender age of fifteen, when he first picked up a guitar and started playing in punk bands. His passion for music took him across the USA and Europe, where he honed his craft and developed a unique sound that blends raw energy with heartfelt storytelling.
For a decade, John fronted the Austin, Texas-based honkytonk band, The Golden Roses. Under his leadership, the band became a staple in the local music scene, known for their electrifying performances and authentic sound.
Now, John is embarking on a new chapter in his musical career as a solo singer-songwriter. Drawing inspiration from the legendary Texas songwriters who came before him—such as Jerry Jeff Walker, Willie Nelson, Ray Wylie Hubbard, and Townes Van Zandt—John is dedicated to carrying on their legacy while forging his own path.
