The Kickback

Employing a buoyant blend of fist-pumping pop-punk and nervy indie rock that's rife with emotional discord, Chicago's the Kickback deliver a sugar-coated sonic assault that invokes names like Spoon, Pixies, and White Reaper. The band's sophomore offering was released wide acclaim from Billboard Magazine, Alternative Press, ABC News, Popmatters and more, including Consequence of Sound, which graciously ranked the album #28 on its rundown of 2017’s Top 50 albums. Their third album is slated for fall 2024.

Songwriter and frontman Billy Yost is joined by Jonny Ifergan (guitar/keys/vocals) and Dan Leu (bass). The band’s extensive tour history has included opening slots for Bush, Passion Pit, Tokyo Police Club, Manic Street Preachers and more.
