Russ T. Nutz Biography
North Carolina native Russ T. Nutz has toiled in the dregs of the underground country music scene for over a decade. In 2008, he released his first album "Banned In Forty States," as the frontman of Blue Jeans and Khaki Pants. He spent 7 years touring America's dive bars alongside his cohorts in the Punknecks; all the while printing hundreds of thousands of T-Shirtrs and engineering countless recordings for many country, rock and funk acts like Town Mountain, Pfunk and The Big Ol' Nasty Getdown. In 2015, he self released a solo album, "Trail Of Beers."
It's hard to tell where the joke ends and reality begins with Russ. T Nutz; it's equally difficult to know whether to laugh or be appalled by his on-stage banter. His material has a tendency to stir controversy; though one could argue that racks like "Black, White or Gay" actually contain a backhanded message of tolerance, albeit hidden within the inflammatory rhetoric and satirical context. It's murky water, no doubt, but Russ T. Nutz has been drinking it his entire life. His stage act has a tendency for pushing things just far enough; maybe he just doesn't give a damn.
This is Rev. Russ T. Nutz Jr, M.D, Unlicensed Professional and professional dog track enthusiast and skee-ball champion of 1994.
