Grammy & Latin Grammy Award-Winning Recording Artist | Trombonist, Flugelhornist, Composer, Band Leader, Producer, Arranger, Singer, and Educator
Born in Colón, Panama, Xito Lovell is a distinguished Afro-Panamanian Grammy & Latin Grammy Award-Winning Recording Artist. A versatile multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer, and educator. Xito is also the visionary leader of the Que Xopa Collective (NYC). He is an esteemed endorser and Ambassador for B.A.C. Musical Instruments, as well as a Native Instrument Endorsed Artist and an Endorsed Artist for AMT Applied Microphone Technology Inc. His exceptional musical journey began at the age of seven and led to Full and Presidential scholarships at Berklee College of Music (2014-2018) and New Jersey City University, where he earned his Master’s degree in 2022.
Xito’s extraordinary talent has graced some of the world’s most elite festivals, including the Global Citizen Festival, Newport Jazz Festival, Glastonbury Festival, and Riviera Maya Jazz Festival, alongside an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. His tenure as Artist in Residence at the Roger Smith Hotel (2021-2022) further cemented his status as a key figure in New York City’s prestigious cultural landscape.
A highly sought-after collaborator, Xito has worked with an array of iconic global artists, transcending genres. His impressive roster includes Rubén Blades, Ricky Martin, Residente, Camila Cabello, Jon Batiste, Tony Succar, Omar Alfanno, Pedro Capó, CUCO, and many more. One of the defining milestones of his illustrious career is his performance with the New York Philharmonic in Maestra Vida by Rubén Blades.
