Superb The 7-piece ensemble was absolutely stellar, with each member a master of their craft. We had never seen Jumaane perform before, and his horn playing was as smooth as silk. We were pleasantly surprised to discover that he also has a beautiful voice, which perfectly complemented the performance. His humorous interactions with the audience added a special touch. One of my favorite moments was hearing a track from his latest album, I Know. If they had let me, I would have been dancing in the aisle! While I'm a little too young to fully appreciate Louis Armstrong’s music, it was a true honor to get even a small glimpse into his life. “Roses anyone?” It was a wonderful night overall. Extra kudos to the pianist, who tamed those ivories, and to "that drummer"—he was absolutely incredible. The sax and trombone were truly on fire, and the bassist nailed it. Last but certainly not least, the guitarist won me over with his soulful playing. What a fantastic show. Thank you, Jumaane, for sharing a piece of your life story with us. You made it feel real.
