This band sounded great. They have good energy. Each member was featured, and they transitioned from one 'solo' to the next seamlessly. They must have been together for a long time.

About re.verse

When describing re.verse, the first word that comes to mind is authenticity. The Toronto band’s focus has always been on the artistry of the specific. Thoughtfully studying the essence of culturally redefining grooves and raw soulful expressions of pioneers J Dilla, D’Angelo and the Soulquarians, re.verse laid the groundwork for early approach.
Over time the band steadily expanded its scope to explore further parallels between jazz and the other prevailing sounds of their generations, all while forming a unique improvisational and compositional identity of their own. re.verse has built a dedicated fanbase ranging from young jazz musicians to electronic music fans, neo-soul lovers and hip-hop heads alike.

Notable accolades include performances at top Canadian venues Koerner Hall with DJ Skratch Bastid, Lord Finesse and Shad, Danforth Music Hall with The Halluci Nation, headlining Longboat Hall with Tona and TRP.P, live and studio recordings supporting Tanika Charles and Charlotte Day Wilson, and the TAC/OAC funded creation of original works with revered street dancer, choreographer and singer Caroline ‘Lady C’ Fraser aka Cee, which premiered both at Meridian Hall and Lula Lounge.

In addition to their 2023 album Meridian as well as their single For All Time featuring vocal powerhouse pHoenix Pagliacci, re.verse is proud to present their 2025 album ‘float’, a vibrant collection of instrumental compositions authentically demonstrating their diversity and originality.
