Southghost

Hi, I'm Sean Zuidgeest. I've been writing and recording music for over half of my life. Recently, I embarked on a new project called "Southghost," which directly translates to my last name, Zuidgeest.

This Summer 2024, I'm releasing my debut solo EP titled "Forever Chemicals." I wrote and produced it entirely in my Nashville, TN studio, primarily during the Pandemic. The music features captivating melodies, layered synths, guitars, bass, strings, and numerous vocal hooks. While crafting this music, I was listening to a lot of Caroline Polachek, Beach House, Santigold, Issy Wood, Claude Debussy, James Blake, Mitski, Vangelis, UB40, and LCD Soundsystem.

While I regularly perform in Nashville, my live performances lean towards an acoustic style, often incorporating live looping—a hint of what's to come in future recordings.

I particularly enjoy performing for listening room-style audiences, as I strive to create an engaging and dynamic sonic experience.
