BALTHVS ist ein Psychedelic-Funk-Trio aus Bogotá, Kolumbien, bestehend aus Balthazar Aguirre (Gitarre, Gesang), Johanna Mercuriana (Bass, Gesang) und Santiago Lizcano (Schlagzeug, Gesang). Die Band gründete sich während der Pandemie 2020 in einer ländlichen Umgebung außerhalb der Stadt, um in friedlicher Atmosphäre Musik zu machen. Ihr genreübergreifender Sound vereint Elemente aus Cumbia, Surf Rock, Funk und türkischen Musikeinflüssen. Neben englischen und spanischen Texten enthält ihre Musik auch zahlreiche Instrumentalpassagen, die Mystik und Psychedelia einbeziehen.

BALTHVS Biography
With over a dozen international tours under their belt, the cosmic funk trio from Colombia is redefining what a Latin American band can sound like. Drawing from Turkish melodies, electronic grooves, scorching funk jams, and psychedelic improvisation, the band continues to push the boundaries of both their live shows and studio output. With four albums released, over 45 million streams, and hundreds of shows across 22 countries, they remain eager to forge ahead on new musical paths.
