Kara Frazier Biography
Known for her powerhouse vocals and classic songwriting, Kara Frazier combines vintage soul grooves with colorful pop melodies to create her signature sound. As a teenager, the Jacksonville, FL native performed as the lead woman for various local bands and gained a following as an accomplished young vocalist.
Relocating to Nashville, Frazier established herself with her seasoned performance skills and soulful sound. She has since joined the bill with acts like Kenny Sharp, Southern Avenue and The Brook & The Bluff. Frazier has collaborated with GRAMMY-award winning songwriter/producer, Shannon Sanders (India.Arie, John Legend), and additionally has collaborated with GRAMMY-award winning producer/engineer, Brent Maher (The Judds, Tina Turner) as a featured vocalist on a project by renowned blues singer/songwriter Taj Mahal.
As a debut of her soulful sound, Frazier released “I Wanna Be Your Woman” featuring The Aquaducks. Frazier's latest EP ‘In Your Bones’ showcases her more playful side, while leaning into her pop/r&b sensibilities. Her music has been featured on Lightning 100.1FM, The Blues Project, We Own This Town and XPLR's Nashville Daily.
