About this concert

Funk For Forest Biography
Funk For Forest is an eight-piece instrumental band formed with one wish; to make you dance.
Mixing their influences from afrobeat, disco, highlife, jazz and funk, they bring a delightful blend of dance music that is bound to give you restless leg syndrome. The band started out playing edits of tunes from inspirational sources like Manu Dibango, Eko Roosevelt, and Hugh Masaleka, to more modern heroes like Todd Terje and Ezra Collective, making DJ-like sets on the club scene in Oslo. The last year, the band has spent their time in their rehearsal-space and in the studio, further crafting their own sound and voice, whilst keeping their energy-filled live-shows running. A soulful sound filled with percussive elements, horns and danceable grooves is set to make you want more.
