Varang Nord prezentē savu pirmo akustisko programmu “Veļi”.
Baltu mitoloģijā “Veļi” ir aizsaulē mītošo dvēseļu pasaule. Šajā koncertā mēs pieskaramies šīm ēnām — pašiem sev, savām saknēm un atmiņām. Veļi” ir ceļojums pa ēnām un dvēselēm, kur dziesmas pārtop citā dimensijā.
Programmā piedalīsies viesmākslinieki – pianisti un citi instrumentālisti.

Varang Nord presents their first acoustic programme “Veli”.
In Baltic mythology, Veli is the world of departed souls. In this concert we touch these shadows - ourselves, our roots and our memories. Veļi is a journey through shadows and souls, where the songs are transformed into another dimension.
The programme will feature guest artists - pianists and other instrumentalists.

Varang Nord Biography
Varang Nord is a folk metal band from the cold woodlands of Latvia. Their songs praise a mighty battle, a bloody sacrifice to the Old Gods and a joyful northern feast with endless mugs of ale.
Founded in 2014, Varang Nord combine harsh death metal riffs with epic accordion chants, creating a unique blend of northern pagan/folk metal. Their latest album - Pārķiuņa Uomurs - tells of the mystic Latgalian forests, brave me dwelling within and the dangerous beasts lurking in their shadows.
On stage, clad in armour and furs, with carved idols at their sides, they create an enchanting atmosphere of wild hunts, pagan sacrificial rituals and tribal unity.
Our band is the winner of Wacken Metal Battle 2019.
In 2023 we were in a European Black Pilgrimage tour with Batushka and Arkona.
Also we have numerous festivals and club shows played across Europe, including performances at festivals such as Wacken Open Air, Full Metal Holiday, Kilkim Žaibu, Udgårdsfest and others.
