Wataru Sato Biography
Wataru Sato/Gecko is a pianist living in Kanagawa,Japan and born in 1990.
Under the name of Gecko, he has been creating various of works based on electronica and modern-classic music since 2010.
Under the name of Wataru Sato,his real name,he shows the unique piano-solo performance influenced by minimal and modern-classic,and his melody is fluent and melancholic,
and has released several piano solo albums,which has good reputations in and outside Japan.
He is also a leader and pianist of “Gecko&Tokage Parade”“,Japanese fusion and modern jazz band.
Currently they belongs to the Japanese jazz label"Playwright.”
Hee has been studying and improving his piano under the minimal pianist Lubomyr Melnyk(Erased Tapes/Sony Music).
