Emmalea Deal & The Hot Mess is an electrifying 4 piece alternative rock group originating in West Virginia. The band was properly established in 2023 by Emmalea Deal (rhythm guitar/vocals), Jarod Kerns (drums), plus new arrivals Josh Adams (lead guitar) and Cody Engnes (bass).
Front woman Emmalea was only thirteen when she embarked on her musical journey. Through different projects, touring, and genre changes over the last decade she grew into a captivating force within the regional alternative scene.
The four have since come together to unleash a gritty fusion of powerful vocals, clever lyrics, and insatiable riffs. Sounding sonically diverse within their songs, ranging from haunting female rage to pop-punk anthems and garage rock with attitude.
