Joyce Lee Biography
"Love yourself. Be true to yourself. Everything else is just background noise."
Joyce Lee is more than a singer-songwriter—she’s a force of nature, a true testament to resilience, passion, and the relentless pursuit of authenticity. From her early days singing in church choirs and mastering classical piano, Joyce’s musical journey took a bold turn at the age of 16 when she discovered her deep connection to rock 'n' roll. Despite facing skepticism and a lack of support from friends and family, her determination led her to Los Angeles, where she spent years perfecting her craft, driven by the belief that music was her calling.
But Joyce's story isn’t just one of musical ambition—it's a story of unwavering strength in the face of adversity. A devastating bilateral arm injury left her unable to play an instrument for several years, forcing her to confront the unthinkable. Yet, in true Joyce fashion, she refused to be silenced. After a rigorous rehabilitation, Joyce turned to livestreaming in January 2020, reconnecting with her music and fans through platforms like Twitch. Her raw, unfiltered talent and magnetic presence captivated audiences around the world, becoming a symbol of her resilience and refusal to give up on her art.
Beyond the stage, Joyce is an advocate for mental health and chronic illness awareness, using her voice to support others who face similar struggles. She’s personally organized charity events that have raised over $50,000 for mental health nonprofits, proving that her compassion is just as powerful as her music.
Now, Joyce is back with her most ambitious project yet—her third studio album, created in collaboration with acclaimed multi-platinum producer Dean Dichoso, known for his work with artists like FeFe Dobson and brands like Netflix and Warner Canada. Together, they’ve crafted a unique sound, blending eclectic influences with poetic lyricism and haunting melodies. Joyce’s music, rich with introspection and wit, continues to push boundaries, defying expectations and cementing her as a trailblazer in the modern music scene.
At the core of her artistry is her voice—a mesmerizing, expressive instrument that cuts through the noise and captivates every listener. Described as "brilliant" and praised for her powerful stage presence, Joyce is a magnetic performer who draws you into her world. Offstage, her warmth and authenticity shine just as brightly, making her fans feel like they’re a part of her journey.
Joyce recently won "Best Song" for the 2025 Songwriters At Play Song Contest for her original song, "Invisible," which will be featured on her upcoming album. If you haven’t experienced the magic of Joyce Lee yet, now is the time. Follow her, dive into her music, and discover the spirit of an artist who not only defies the odds but inspires others to do the same. The journey is just beginning—join her on it.
