Derelicts

Founded in 2016 with a debut EP galvanized by raw, introspective energies, Derelicts first incarnation defended its cathartic progressive metal sound on stage.

After this inaugural chapter, now structured as a collective, the band embarked on a true studio journey in 2018, guided by deep introspection and a desire to evolve. This process led to a major transformation: an enriched sound, blending influences from Opeth, Katatonia, Dark Tranquillity, Septicflesh, and modern touches borrowed from the Australian Metal scene. At the same time, the line-up has expanded with the arrival of new members, reinforcing the dynamic of the project.
Derelicts compositions explore with raw sincerity the traumas of childhood and their echoes in adulthood. Through its dark, liberating music, it creates a sanctuary where everyone can draw the strength to transform their pain into resilience. Today, the band is supported by six musicians, including two female singers, and a team of technicians and engineers who enhance the band's performances both on stage and in the studio.

Derelicts is the fruit of a journey in which each step has strengthened the project's identity: an exploration of the depths of the human soul, carried by musical narratives blending power, emotion and hope. More than a band, Derelicts is a collective committed to transforming pain into art, with the conviction that music can be a true healing force.
