Cornbread Wallace Biography
Cornbread Wallace, a singer-songwriter hailing from Missoula, Montana, delivers a compelling blend of country, rock, and Americana that resonates with a wide audience. His music has been described as a journey through life's twists and turns, capturing the essence of the American experience.
Drawing inspiration from legendary artists such as Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, B.B. King, Willie Nelson, Chris Stapleton, The Eagles, AC/DC, Three Doors Down, Three Dog Night, the Blues Brothers, Jonny Lang, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Billy Joel, Brooks & Dunn, Garth Brooks, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Bob Seger, John Michael Montgomery, and Hank Williams, Cornbread Wallace crafts songs that are both authentic and relatable. His performances are known to get people on their feet, moving and grooving to his original compositions and dynamic covers.
Cornbread Wallace’s musical journey began at the age of eight, singing in his local church choir, where he first discovered his passion for music. In high school, he honed his vocal skills through formal training, earning recognition at the state level in vocal competitions and performing with the prestigious All-Northwest Honors Choir.
While his vocal talents were formally developed, Wallace took a self-taught approach to instrumental music, learning both piano and guitar on his own. His dedication to music led him to perform in several rock and country cover bands, refining his stage presence and versatility before branching out into a solo career and songwriting. His first gig was a notable one—playing in a band that had the opportunity to open for KONGOS, marking the beginning of his professional journey in the industry.
Cornbread Wallace continues to make waves in the music industry with his distinct blend of Americana, country, blues, and rock. On December 31, 2024, he self-produced and released his latest album, Tin Snips & Kiwi, earning praise for its raw energy and heartfelt storytelling. Broken 8 Records describes it as “a hearty slice of Americana,” while Sleeping Bag Studios highlights Wallace’s “smooth” vocals and emotional depth.
Beyond his solo work, Wallace has been producing an independent artist’s debut studio album and developing his own record label, GuestRoom Records. As he gears up for summer performances, he remains focused on writing, recording, and producing new music, further establishing himself as a dynamic force in the industry.
