Miranda Powell

An East Coast native and current Nashville resident, Miranda Powell’s passion is to connect audiences with their deepest emotions while still keeping their toes tapping. Classically trained in piano from the tender age of five and voice at fifteen, Miranda’s musicianship sparkles in slick funk beats with laid-back grooves, juxtaposing introspective lyrics and soulful vocals with funky pop production. A 2018 Commercial Piano graduate of Belmont University and Jazz Band I alumni, Miranda infuses her love of soul and jazz into her songwriting and production processes.

Miranda is a frequenter of some of Nashville’s most-beloved venues and currently an artist-in-residence at Chief's on Broadway, where she performed with Eric Church. Her most recent single, "HIGH SCHOOL.", co-released with producer Ryan Prewett, was featured atop Spotify Editorial's Nu-Funk playlist. With influences ranging from the vibrant songwriting of Stevie Wonder to the pop powerhouse grooves of Dua Lipa, Miranda combines her love of storytelling with glossy, stylish beats that tug on classic nostalgia.
