Foreign Affairs Biography

Foreign Affairs is a musical collaboration between brothers Adam and Lawrence Purnell.

In December 2018, the band released their first EP, The Old Fire Station, which received widespread critical acclaim. This was followed by a 22-date European tour with Grammy- nominated artist Larkin Poe.

The duo signed their first publishing deal with Peermusic in October 2019 and have since released a host of new music, garnering support and national radio play from BBC Radio 2 (Dermot O’Leary and Bob Harris), as well as placements on several Spotify editorial playlists.

Their acclaimed live show has toured extensively throughout the U.K. and Europe, including multiple appearances at the iconic Glastonbury Festival, a series of sold-out U.K. and European headline shows, and festival performances in France, the Netherlands, and Denmark.

Now, Foreign Affairs are set to release their highly anticipated debut album, Brothers, on September 26th via BS7 Recording Company. With their signature blend of raw storytelling, heartfelt melodies, and cinematic production, the album promises to be a defining moment in their career.

“Serving up a summer anthem filled with slick guitars and catchy lyrics is brother-duo Foreign Affairs. The duo deliver yet another hit single as they ride the rock ’n’ roll production, intertwining elements of old school blues with feverish energy.” – Wonderland Magazine
