About this concert
De retour des États-Unis, le jeune trompettiste Fabien Enger s’entoure de ses complices Justin Griggs et Shakoor Hakeem pour célébrer la sortie de son premier album, Off the Seabed (Inner Urge Records).

Fabien Enger Biography
Fabien Enger is one of the best up-and-coming trumpeter, improviser, bandleader, and composer emerging from the young French jazz wave. His remarkable journey between the US and Europe demonstrates his exceptional talent, making his artistry very authentic, grounded, and creative.
Awarded a Fulbright scholarship in 2022 and the Arnaud Roujou de Boubée prize in 2023, Fabien graduated with a Master of Music in Jazz Studies from Temple University (Philadelphia) in 2024. At Temple, he studied under the mentorship of Terell Stafford, John Swana, Tim Warfield, Justin Faulkner, Elio Villafranca, and Dick Oatts.
As a recipient of the NOUS Foundation (2023) and the Arthur King Peters Memorial Travel Grant (2024), he had the opportunity to deepen his American experience by immersing himself in the rich, vibrant, and historic jazz scenes of New Orleans, New York City, Washington D.C., and Chicago. These multiple artistic residencies and research projects allowed him to showcase his original music, connect with local artists, and engage with representatives from prominent musical and cultural institutions in each city.
In addition to performing as a bandleader globally, he has collaborated and played with an impressive range of musicians, including Bobby Zankel, Chad Taylor, Nazir Ebo, Pheroann akLaff, Immanuel Wilkins, Sumi Tonooka, Lee Smith, Shakoor Hakeem, Andy Emler, Denis Badault, Jean Gobinet, Julien Charlet, Yves Torchinsky, and Misja Michel-Fitzgerald.
