Der Neu-Soul von MOLASS vereint Alt und Neu, ist ein Spiel zwischen Heiß und Kalt, das Emotionen weckt, die schwer in Worte zu fassen sind. Inspiriert von Künstlern wie Hiatus Kaiyote, Moses Sumney und The Alan Parsons Project, überschreiten sie Genregrenzen und tauchen in unerforschte Tiefen ein. Funk, Jazz und elektronische Elemente verschmelzen mit der markant facettenreichen Stimme von Frontfrau Marissa Möller zu einer einzigartigen Groovy Fairytale. MOLASS Biography
The Band MOLASS was founded in September 2017 in Cologne, Germany by Marissa Möller, the bands vocalist/songwriter and keyboarder Jan Lammert. He extends the compositions with experimental rhythms and harmonies and thereby creates sophisticated arrangements. Lambert Windges (drums) and Julian Schwiebert (bass) complete the Soul and Jazz-inspired MOLASS-Sound.
2018 the band releases their debut album Green Sky, which became album of the month in coolibiri Magazin, Düsseldorf. MOLASS wins several german competitions like the Jazz Challenge Viersen and played at renowned festivals like Jazzrally Düsseldorf, international Jazzfestival Viersen and Muiskmesse Frankfurt. In 2021 MOLASS gets second place at Germany’s biggest Jazz-Newcomer-Prize „Future Sounds“ at Leverkusener Jazztage. The band releases their new album „Piece Of Mass“ in 2022.
