Process/Recess is a ritual that exalts play and creation as an ongoing action rather than a static product. Every show, Mary Cait and Emily will invite sketch comics, stand-ups, writers, and other creators to present work that is currently "in process," and then ask those creators about their process. To end the show, Emily and Mary Cait (aka "Me Time") will perform an improv set. This is Recess, play for the sake of play. To begin the ritual each week, all performers will enter in a procession through the audience to the stage, and to end the ritual, the performers (and audience, if they wish), will recess out to the lobby.
