Betty Boo Biography
Betty Boo (real name Alison Clarkson) was a UK rapper who rode the wave of house music that was popular during the late 80s/early 90s.
Her first appearance in the UK charts was Hey DJ - I Can't Dance (To That Music You're Playing), a collaboration with The Beatmasters. Further (solo) hits followed, such as Where Are you Baby? and Let Me Take You There.
Another UK hit, Doin' The Do, was also big in Holland, where it appealed to the youth market. It freely sampled 'This Is The Captain Of Your Ship' by Reparata & the Delrons.
