October 7th 2024
Four bands played this year. Seemed slimmed down compared to previous years.
Monolthic Architecture
Huge sounding band for it just being two guys on stage. Wish they could have played a little later so they would have had a bigger turn out. I was so impressed at how big they sounded for just being a couple unassuming dudes on stage but they did sound loud and mean. Wasn't huge into their material, it sounded to all be similar in ways but again we were a little bit off in the field so maybe it was just the sound we had.
RevulsA
Not bad but they were LATE on stage and the sound from where I was, was terrrrrible. They seemed a bit rushed and ill-prepared for stage (practice babes!). That being said that girl has a gorgeous voice and them boys are easy on the eyes. Unfortunately, just a little shy on the talent to match her. I think it was a tad unfair for this pop band to play with metal acts. FleetwoodMac was a nice touch though. Keep chugging youngin's you'll get there.
Failing As Humans
THE BEST BAND OF THE NIGHT. Just brought everything down and home for their set. It rocked, it ripped, it carried. They looked like they owned that stage and the entire field around them. As it got dark and cold, they still had a huge crowd and melted their faces off with their set. Unbelievable work from a strong up and coming act. Hope to see more of this band in the future.
Dragsaw
Dragsaw sucks! but not really! They put on another year's entertaining show and closed out the night as they always do with a high energetic set of mania and metal. Their halloween gussies were maxed out as each other this year so that was fun to see them really falling into their sound and antics! Dragsaw is always a fun show so can't ever go wrong there.
Great Backwoods Bash with two stellar closing performances. Two outta 4 ain't bad you know that's how it goes sometimes but honestly this smaller set format is a little easier to digest so until next year KEEPITMETAL!
