About this concert
Echoes of Resilience highlights the talent of Indigenous artists in order to provide music and art to younger generations of Indigenous youth. You'll see music from local artists like Laura Hugo, James Harvin, and Dylan Daniels, experience the prophetic messages that Pine Ridge, SD based artist Bazille shares through his hip-hop stylings, and this year we are lucky to have Black Belt Eagle Scout as our headliner. Proceeds from this event will go to Rock The Rez, a 5-day music camp for Indigenous girls, Two-Spirit, and LGBTQ+ youth in Minnesota and South Dakota. In 2025 Rock The Rez will host camps in Lower Sioux, the Twin Cities, Leech Lake, MN and Pine Ridge and Rosebud, SD. For five days youth will learn to play an instrument, participate in cultural and artistic teachings, and create community. Please come out for a great cause and to hear some incredible music!

Black Belt Eagle Scout Biography

This land runs through Katherine Paul’s blood. And it called to her. In dreams she saw the river, her ancestors, and her home. When the land calls, you listen. And KP found herself far from her ancestral lands during a time of collective trauma, when the world was wounded and in need of healing. In 2020 she made the journey from Portland back to the Skagit River, back to the cedar trees that stand tall and shrouded in fog, back to the tide flats and the mountains, back to Swinomish.
