FXP has gone through the wringer in the past years. With the Pandemic stopping shows, to separating with their first singer, to the passing of their second singer Rob... they have been thru it! But the third time is a charm... with their 3rd singer, Elk, they have found that missing link!! This show, with new songs, was rockin! They nailed it! It was energetic and loud and they performed perfectly! The house was PACKED! Such a good time. And so glad that FXP never gave up when it would have been so easy to do so. They have something special and I'm glad I'm seeing this group of musicians staying so strong. This was an absolute killer show!! Thanks for you guys! Love Dee.

Failure by Proxy Biography

Failure by Proxy is an American rock band from Galt, California, formed in December 2017. Drummer Eric “SpAz” Lewis was new to the Sacramento music scene and was looking for to join a band with. The musical direction was never enough, so he and the former vocalist came together to form Failure by Proxy. SpAz knew They knew exactly who they wanted to lay the musical foundation. Lead Guitarist Chuck “Cash” Schubert, and Bassist and backing vocalist Chris “Gypsy Blade” Alosi.

The chemistry was instant, and they immediately began writing and within 6 months the band has released two singles, Not Gonna Break (2018) and In My Skin (2018). With the lineup complete and 8 songs written they were ready to start playing shows.

In November 2018 the chemistry of the band changed dynamically. Anthony “AntMan" reached out to see if the band needed another guitarist… The band was skeptical, and Chuck and Anthony are polar opposites when it comes to playing style, and that was the missing piece.

Mid 2020 FxP was faced with the departure of their singer. Looking to replace that position would not be easy. Auditions were held and the band unequivocally decided on Rob. Rob brought a whole new level to the band. With his diverse vocal ability, lyrically writing and stage presence, he truly rounded out the band like never before.

In May 2022, FxP was dealt a horrible blow with the sudden passing of their singer Robert Wall. The band has decided to move forward in his honor and only time will tell what the future brings.

In September 2022, the band returns to work with Nick Miller to record their follow up EP titled "The Next Chapter"

Their high energy and stage presence have led them to play the 2021 Blue Ridge Rock Festival, and open for national acts such as: Gemini, Messier, FLAW, Smile Empty Soul, Oleander, Puddle of Mudd, Buckcherry, Joyous Wolf, P.O.D., nonpoint, Islander, Nine Shrines. Failure by Proxy was also nominated for Best Hard Rock band for 2018 and 2019 in the Sacramento News & Review SAMMIES Award. FxP has also been featured nearly a dozen times on the Sacramento Rock Station 98.5 Rock.
