About this concert
The Ten Pound Fiddle is our hometown folk music concert series, and we've had the pleasure to have been invited to participate in three Fiddle shows over the years. In 2017, we opened for Robert Jones and also contributed to a Bob Dylan Tribute Show, and in 2023, The Dang Ps Duo had our own Fiddle show.
But the 50th Anniversary Celebration Show will be a little different. There will be no less than ELEVEN acts — so much talent in one night — with each group getting about 15 minutes on stage. It will be a veritable smorgasbord of folk music, and The Dang Ps Duo gets to kick off the action:
Set 1: The Dangling Participles, The Ukulele Kings, The Springtails, Deacon Earl and Roger Gentry, and Super Secret Cult Band
– Intermission –
Set 2: Kitty Donohoe, Mark Dvorak, Second Opinion, Joel Mabus, Sally Rogers, Matt Watroba and Robert Jones.
Tickets for the show are only $20 and gain you access to more than just the evening concert (6:30-10:00pm). From 12:00 to 4:45pm, there are community sings, workshops, ukulele strum-alongs, and Ten Pound Fiddle retrospectives, and your $20 wristband gets you in to all of it!

The Dangling Participles Biography
The Dangling Participles are an Americana band from Lansing, MI.
The Dangling Participles are a Lansing-based band with a diverse song set ranging from folk and Americana to Latin jazz and blues. The band’s strong and soulful vocals—shared by Tamiko Rothhorn and Austin Kaufmann—give the group its signature sound, rich in harmonies. Austin anchors the group with his lead guitar and harmonica, with Tamiko adding cornet and ukulele. Tim Patterson fills out low end on his upright bass and backing vocals, and percussionist Dan Moreno rounds out the rhythm section.
The Dangling Participles have been performing genre-hopping originals and covers throughout mid-Michigan since 2015. Founded by three Michigan State University English language instructors (hence the band name’s grammatical flair), The Dangling Participles bring together their love of harmonizing, songwriting, and arranging to create a lively on-stage experience.
The band released its 2nd full-length album, "One More Drop," in 2022. Buy or stream wherever you get music:
