Wave Raiders Biography

Wave Raiders, a trio of alternative rock disruptors from the Sunshine Coast, aren’t here to blend in - they’re here to smash cliches and carve out their own identity!

These stage-shredders have the energy of a lightning storm and have already unleashed chaos on tour with The Screaming Jets, jolted 10,000 fans with Spiderbait at the final Caloundra Music Festival, and left their mark on the nation’s top festivals, from Bluesfest Byron Bay to Airlie Beach Festival of Music.

When it came time to drop their debut single, ‘Fun’, they didn’t play it safe. With Steve James, the Aria Award winning and Grammy-nominated legend behind The Screaming Jets, The Angels, and Cold Chisel at the controls, the launch exploded, pulling a crowd of over 450 into Solbar at the Sunshine Coast. Add a killer collab with Sarah McLeod of The Superjesus and their story keeps getting louder.

Now, they’re diving headfirst into their debut EP, armed with the guidance of Cameron McGlinchey, (The Screaming Jets, Rogue Traders), and Steve James at the helm. Their next single release, ‘Don’t Wanna Be Late', drops on 9 April 2025. Supported by the Regional Arts Development Fund, this project promises to be as relentless and reckless as the band themselves.

Wave Raiders aren’t just riding the wave - they are the wave. Unpredictable. Loud. Impossible to ignore.
