Airi's Biography
Airi's is an indie rock band from Finland, founded in 2019 by lead singer/guitarist Joni Hartikainen and guitarist Tuomas Hokkanen, with keyboardist/vocalist Silja Silander joining in 2022 to complete the trio. Influenced by brit rock, grunge and prog, the band tells relatable stories about the emotional storms of life, from devastating anxiety and crushing depression to infatuation and love.
Debut album "Kind Little One" was released in August 2022, with singles "Headlights", "Earthquake" and "Lonely Cloud" getting frequent airplay on indie stations in Finland and the UK. Inspired by the themes of the album, the band organized a charity concert for mental health, which grossed 1500€ for Finnish mental health organization Mieli ry.
Second album "Sea of Your Thoughts" was released on September 27th 2024 via V.R. Label, distributed by Playground Music. Singles "Beyond Compare" and "Pray" were played on Finnish stations such as Radio Helsinki and YleX, and the lead single "Marigolds" received airplay on SiriusXM in the US. The band celebrated the album release with a sold out show at Semifinal in Helsinki.
Airi's has played over 120 shows, including appearances at Ruisrock 2024 and as a support band on Erja Lyytinen's Finnish tour dates. The band has also toured abroad in Sweden and the UK - in Spring 2024 they performed at London's legendary Dublin Castle in Camden for a packed club, along with three other highly successful shows around London.
In fall 2025 Airi's will support Erja Lyytinen on her 12-date album release tour in Finland.
