OFF-LEASH (previously Detention) Biography
OFF-LEASH (previously known as Detention) is a high-energy pop-punk/easycore band out of Akron, Ohio.
Off-Leash is a four-piece consisting of singer Elliott ‘with Two Ts’ Carter, guitarist Evan Cox, bassist Fritz Dannemiller, and drummer Luke Konopka. Having formed the current lineup officially in early 2018, Off-Leash has been playing together for around 7 years, having played music together long before that.
With each member’s music taste being vastly different from each other, Off-Leash utilizes musical inspiration from bands across many genres, including pop-punk, easycore, indie, hardcore, and emo.
Off-Leash was voted “Best Punk Band” at the Cleveland Music Awards in both 2022 and 2023, and won first place at Tri-C’s High School Rock Off at The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2020.
Their most recent single “Welcome Mat” dropped on all streaming platforms on Halloween of 2024. FIND OFF-LEASH ON INSTAGRAM @OFFLEASH.LIVE
