Lauren Minear Biography
Nashville-raised, New York-based indie-folk pop artist Lauren Minear has a unique ability to craft songs that capture the depth of the human condition. Perhaps this is because she is a trained psychotherapist . Or perhaps it’s because Minear is brimming with pure, raw talent. Odds are it’s a combination of both.
Minear’s unmistakable flair is evident on her recently released sophomore album, Chasing Daylight. The project has been met with critical acclaim.
Earmilk raves,
"Rooted in her signature ability to unveil intimate themes at the core of vibrant sonics, the tracks are laden with relatable themes and a dose of wisdom, showcasing the enlightening core of the album which is set to be a colorful exploration of visibility and self-discovery”.
Raised in Nashville, Minear honed her craft under the mentorship of George Marinelli (long-time guitar player for Bonnie Raitt), folk legend Steve Earle, acclaimed country music songwriter Alice Randall, songwriter Joe Croker, and folk artist, Tom Prasada-Rao. She recently studied songwriting for Ben Folds and shared the stage with Pete Yorn.
In 2022, Minear released her debut album, Invisible Woman, which explores themes of identity, love, and loss, magnified by her experience of being postpartum during the pandemic. Her music has garnered over 397K streams across platforms, which is sure to grow as she embarks on her first tour this fall.
