Unstrained

Guitarist Theo Jaspers and drummer Christian Eissler met for the first time at a joint rehearsal at the end of 2023 and decided to form a yet unnamed punk band. At the second rehearsal in early 2024, bassist Robin Das Gupta and singer Sander "AmadeusThaRockstarr" Jaspers joined, becoming permanent members of the band from that point on. In March 2024, Kwezi Human joined as an additional singer and guitarist. After only playing covers in the initial rehearsals while searching for inspiration for their own sound, they began writing their own songs. These are primarily influenced by British punk rock from the 1970s but also incorporate elements of hardcore punk, hard rock, metal, post punk and grunge. In summer 2024, it was high time to give the band a name. After much consideration and discussion, they settled on the name "Unstrained". This means as much as relaxed, casual, cool, laid-back, unfiltered, raw, or imperfect, which represents the character of the band members and aims to counteract the conservative and uptight spirit of our world. So far, the band has played several concerts, making a little bit of a name for themselves in the local punk scene in Bern, Switzerland. Due to personal reasons, Kwezi left the band in early 2025. In February of the same year, Unstrained released their first single "Germ X", which includes 4 songs. Unstrained continues to develop in the hidden and looks forward to exciting more music lovers with their sound in the future!
