Irony Of Fate Biography
Irony of Fate is an ambitious Melodic Death Metal band formed in 2014 in Bern, Switzerland. The band consists of Cveti Stojmenova on vocals, Lars Gygax and Dr. Grü on guitars, Kevin Lütolf A.K.A Savage Drums on drums, and Tom "Tömli" Zürcher on bass.
With their debut album "Pray for Freedom... Prepare for Extinction", Irony of Fate established themselves as a formidable force in the metal scene, crafting atmospheric and intense music that can stand up against the likes of Arch Enemy and Dark Tranquility. The band has toured extensively in Europe, gaining a loyal fanbase.
In early 2021, amidst the cruel Corona-Pandemic, Irony of Fate released their second album "Wicked&Divine". Despite the challenging circumstances, the band made sure it was loud, with hits like "Mayhem", "Venegance", and the title track "Wicked&Divine".
Over the years, Irony of Fate has played multiple successful support shows with renowned bands such as Wolfheart, Bloodred Hourglass, Blood Red Throne, Zeal&Ardor and The Cavalera Conspiracy.
Currently, the band is working on their third album, titled "Equinox", where they are experimenting with new elements while still maintaining their kick-ass signature sound. Irony of Fate is more than ready for the future, with new music, shows, and videos on the horizon.
